Project: Soy Deporte
Description: This project was an interdisciplinary collaboration in which I worked as a UX/UI designer alongside a team of developers and the company leader. Our goal was to create a website containing relevant information to promote the development of talented athletes, showcasing their cases, promoting their disciplines, and attracting sponsors and donations. We aimed to assist in the growth and development of talented athletes with limited opportunities by providing them with the necessary resources and support to reach their full potential.
My role: As a UX/UI designer, my primary responsibility was to gather and analyze all relevant information for the project and design the user interface and user experience of the application. I worked closely with the company leader to ensure that the information and content of the site aligned with the company's objectives. Additionally, I collaborated with the developers to assess the feasibility of the website, including animations and various components it contained.
Challenges and solutions: Throughout the project, we faced challenges that required effective communication and collaborative problem-solving. For example, there were debates on the best way to present information and the language used throughout the website. We worked together to find a balance between the simplicity and depth of information, resulting in a clear and user-friendly interface design.
Results: During the website development process, usability testing and heuristic analysis were conducted to assess its performance. Although some issues were identified, due to time constraints, it was not possible to address all of them immediately. However, these challenges did not hinder the continuous improvement of the prototype, which has proven to be flexible and efficient in its usage. Attention to memory load has been minimized, allowing users to navigate without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, user control and freedom have been prioritized, offering an experience where users can make decisions with confidence. The alignment between the system and the real world has been actively pursued, contributing to an intuitive and easy-to-understand interface. Despite temporary challenges, these positive aspects highlight the project's ongoing commitment to delivering a robust and adaptive user experience.
